Dispatch Software Sync Problems: Common Causes and Fixes

Where sync breaks down along the chain

Dispatch data has to travel through several links before it reaches everyone who needs it: the driver's device, that device's cellular or Wi-Fi connection, the dispatch platform's cloud servers, and the network at the dispatch office itself. A break at any link looks the same to a frustrated dispatcher, a screen that just will not update, but the fix is completely different depending on where it occurred.

Driver device and app issues

On the office side, a saturated internet connection, a misconfigured firewall rule, or an expired certificate can block dispatch software from reaching its cloud servers even though everything looks fine to the eye.
