Cabling: the unglamorous foundation

A surprising share of manufacturing network problems trace back to cabling: runs pulled too close to motors and VFDs that introduce electrical interference, cables crushed by forklifts because they weren't protected, or patch panels with no labeling so nobody can tell which cable goes where without physically tracing it.
